Many of us can admit that Pagsanjan Falls is the only well-known waterfall that resides in Laguna. In fact, when we think about Laguna, one of the things popped up on our minds was its famous Pagsanjan Falls. It is prevalent especially to the adrenaline-junkies who love the shooting-the-rapids experience in that place.

Since Laguna is the home of 24 mountains, and most of it is an inactive volcano. It is not surprising if there are hidden and unknown waterfalls that eventually discovered.

1. HULUGAN FALLS

If you are a person who likes adventures such as swimming, hiking, rock climbing, and exploring every wonder of nature in the province of Laguna, the Hulugan Falls is one of the gems that must you have seen. Over the years, this spectacular waterfall has gained popularity and has taken the time to go; on weekends and holidays, it can get a little too crowded.

There are two trails down in the location of Hulugan Falls. You need to register first at the Barangay Hall and they will eventually assign a guide for you. One of the trails is more adventurous and suited especially for the mountain climbers and hikers. It will bring you to the destination much faster than the other trail. But be careful and plan your trip to perfect weather. The trails there are slippery and gloomy. It is more dangerous to use it if the weather is not in good condition.

The second trail is a bit easier to walk through than the first one. The easier route goes up the falls, where you can also relax and take a dip and swim.

Whatever trail you may choose, when you finally down, the breathtaking view of the Hulugan Falls will leave you speechless. And you will come to realize that Laguna has it. The Hulugan Fall is just one of the three waterfalls situated in the municipality of Luisiana, Laguna and those are really worth visiting for.

2. ALIW FALLS

Apart from Hulugan Falls, Aliw Falls is another place to look at in the municipality of Luisiana, Laguna. With an approximate height of 25 meters and a width of 30 meters, you'll certainly appreciate its beauty and its rock formation, which has made it a must-visit attraction and not only a side trip.

The local people are responsible for appointing personal tourist guides from the jump-off area. It also offers budget-friendly food if you first want to eat before going to the falls. Tourist guides are required for the security and health purposes of the travelers.

3. AMBON AMBON FALLS

Ambon-Ambon Falls is one of the most famous places to swim in the municipality of Pangil, Laguna. It is located in the Panguil Eco Park. It is very accessible for everyone who lives in Manila because it was just in the province of Laguna. If you would like to go to Ambon Ambon Falls, you have a lot of incentives, since it was situated at the Panguil Eco-park, you can still do a lot of things and activities.

There are a few popular spots on the way to the falls, including the "Barkong Bato". It's an enormous bed of rock that looks like a ship from on the side of the mountain. It only takes about 15-20 minutes for the trip to drop off by the falls. Yet, not all can be accommodated at the same time due to the volume of travelers. Each party must wait for its turn.

Due to its natural setting, tourists like to draw down and see the hidden gem. The place is surrounded by trees that make the area more refreshing. The dam's water is cold and dry, as the natural spring continues to flow.

4. DAMPALIT FALLS

Apart from the famous hot springs, there are also other tourist attractions in Los Banos and Dampalit Falls is one of the examples. Although it's not as perfect as Maria Cristina or Pagsanjan Falls, it also features a beautiful landscape in which you'll certainly make yourself refreshed.

Jose Rizal said in his diary when he visited the Niagara Falls, the name Dampalit was mentioned. Rizal also said that, although the Dampalit Falls are much smaller than the Niagara Falls, they are more mysterious and charming. It suggests only that our national hero was intrigued by the Los Baños Falls, otherwise called the Dampalit Falls.

Dampalit's main falls are quite large and fall into a very shallow catch lake. It goes on as a series in far shorter but wider fall into a maze of enormous rocks that dot the river. The surroundings of the Dampalit Falls are quite relaxing, making the place perfect for picnics. In addition, residents built several tables and huts that can be rented at a P200-P300 cost. Visitors may buy food, but at higher rates, in a number of stores.
